When Hamilton Carharrt founded the company of the same name in 1889, he wanted to produce working clothes for factories and railway companies. The overalls and jeans were tailored to the needs of the workers: very robust and equipped with many pockets. The company grew steadily and got popular all around the world. In the 90s skaters showed their interest in the simple designs and the high quality materials. Today carharrt is one of the most popular brands on the board. That was not the initial goal of the company’s founder, but he surely would have been happy to see that not only factory workers wear his clothes today.
